Safari highlights

DAY 1: ARRIVAL

Upon arrival you will be met by our guide who will warmly welcome you, you will be briefed about your safari before transferring to your hotel. Depending on the time you arrive you may have some of your money changed this day and also drive around town. DAY 2: KAMPALA- MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

Early morning after a fulfilling breakfast we are off Uganda’s biggest national park and home of the world’s most powerful falls Murchison falls national, he park is bisected by the Victoria Nile, which plunges 45m over the remnant rift valley wall, creating the dramatic Murchison Falls, the centerpiece of the park and the final event in an 80km stretch of rapids. The mighty cascade drains the last of the river’s energy. This stretch of river provides one of Uganda’s most remarkable wildlife spectacles. Regular visitors to the riverbanks include elephants, giraffes and buffaloes; while hippos, Nile crocodiles and aquatic birds are permanent residents. DAY 3: GAME DRIVE AND BOATMURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

Wake up to the sights and souds of wildlife as you enjoy and early tropical breakfast before embarking on an early morning game drive   across the savannah, along Lake Albert Delta, abundant wildlife as you move slowly as the sun rises.  Welcome to Africa, this is Murchison Falls with its birds, lions, leopards, elephants, hippos, buffaloes, warthogs, giraffes, humorous appearing warthogs. This is Africa and you are on safari in the heart of it – Uganda. After lunch it is one of the highlights of your Murchison Falls National Park Safari, the boat safari trip up the Nile River.  Slowly moving along the river bank viewing crocodiles, an abundance of hippos, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, lots of birds including the fish eagle, storks and so much more. Herds of Elephants cooling off, Hippopotamus frolicking, crocodiles just dozing in the African sun. DAY 4: BOAT CRUISE ALONG THE DELTA AND TOP OF THE FALLS

A leisurely morning and breakfast, then take a private boat trip to down to the delta the scenery is amazingly beautiful you may take your time as you watch out for animals and birds that are in plenty. We will stop just at the bottom of the falls where you will take the guided hike up along the most powerful waterfall in the world – Murchison Falls.  You will be cooled down with some mist from the falls to keep you comfortable. You may have your lunch organized here as a picnic. Later you will be picked up by your guide and you will cross the Nile by ferry and head back to your lodge. Depending on your ability and will and payment of a supplement of $20 per person you may have a night game drive to catch the Nocturnal animals. DAY 5: MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK–KIBALE FOREST NATONAL PARK.

Early morning transfer to Kibale forest National Park popularly known as the primate capital of the world, it has the highest concentration of primates in Eat Africa with one of them being the Chimpanzee. Drive through the verdant country side and villages with large tea estates all the way through to fort portal town.Overnight at either mountains of the moon hotel(www.mountainsofthemoon.net )or Attacco country resort (www.attacocountryresort.com ) or Chimpanzee view guest house(www.chimpanzeeviewguesthouse.com ). DAY 6: CHMPANZEE TREKKING

Early morning assemble at the park headquarters where you will be briefed about the long awaited chimpanzee trekking before entry in the thick canopy forest in search of man’s closest cousins. It is a delight to watch them squabble and swing from one branch to another. You will also be rewarded with the sight of different species of monkeys, baboon the list is endless.  In the afternoon you will take a nature walk in the bigodi swamp home of a wide ran ge of birds and reptiles it is a true haven for birders and nature lovers. DAY 7 : KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK – QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

This morning you may visit the nyakasura hills also famous for the mabere ganyinamwiru in the local language (scientifically known as the stalactites and stalagmites, the place poses a rich cultural history of the batooro. Or you may visit the Crater Lake area and hike all the way to the to the top of the world which offers a spectacular and rewarding view. DAY 8: GAME DRIVE AND BOAT CRUISE IN QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Wake up to sights and sounds in the medley of wonder Uganda’s most popular national park. Take a game drive in the tracks of kisenyi which will present you with a vast array of wildlife including the lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephant, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, topi and bushbuck and a massive view of the Ruwenzori back drops. Later after lunch embark on a two hours bat trip on the kazinga channel that joins Lake Edward to Lake George. The cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing.  The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous, with well over 550 resident species. 9TH NOV 2014: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

After a rewarding and worthwhile breakfast you may ether the bat caves and hunters cave where you take a close look at the bats, rock python and forest cobras. The same walk will provide a chance of seeing birds, primates, tree species etc. or you may have another experience with the chimpanzees in the kyambura forest. Later in the afternoon transfer to the ishahsa sector famed for the tree climbing lions.  Amazing to watch these creatures as they lay in the tree branches waiting on un expecting prey. DAY 10: QUEEN ELIZABETH TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

Wake up in the home of the tree climbing lions and to the sounds of birds. you may take one more look at these amazing creatures before transferring to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park through the switzland of Africa the winding roads and ever green plantation makes the scenery amazingly beautiful. DAY 11: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

Early morning assemble at the park headquarters for the briefing before entry into the spectacular forest, the trek may be allowed and demanding but highly rewarding. You are allowed one hour with the Gorilla. After watching the gorillas at a safe distance slope back down to your lodge. Depending on the time you come back and your ability you may have a community walk in the nearby villages.  Overnight at gorilla mist camp (www.gorillamistcamp.com ) or Buhoma community Banda. FB

DAY 12: BWINDIIMPENETRABLE FOREST – LAKE BUNYONYI

After a strenuous gorilla trekking lake bunyonyi is the place to relax a bit and unwind the fatigue from the safari. The scene is a pictorial beauty a collection of islands; and the second deepest lake in Africa you may take a boat trip to the punishment island or try out your hands at dug out cray fish. DAY 13 : LAKE BUNYONYI – LAKE MBURO

Enjoy beautiful scenery as you transfer to the whispers of the wild another amazing although relatively small national park but with a lot of beauty and amazing wildlife to see.  Settle into your lodging and later take a nature walk in the unspoilt trails of this park which will reward you with a wide range of wildlife, birdlife and plants. DAY 14 : LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK

Early morning take a morning game drive through the savannah and open acacia woods where you will encounter among other lots of zebras, kobs and countless species of birds. Later in the afternoon take a boat trip on Lake Mburo where you will encounter hippos, crocodiles among others. Overnight at arcadia cottages Lake Mburo. (www.arcardiacottages.com ) FB

Day 15 : LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK – JINJA

After breakfast set off for jinja the adventure capital of Uganda and once Uganda’s industrial capital. You may have a game drive as you go out of the park. Enjoy the sights of Uganda enroute as you transfer to Jinja. Overnight at jinja Nile resort (www.madahotels.com  )

Day 16: JINJA

A day of adventure in the adventure capital, the rather are a number of activates for the adventure lover. You may go for a full day water raft ion on the Nile, or go for quad biking in the village circuit where you can also interact with the local people, kayaking, sunset cruises the choice is yours. Overnight at jinja Nile resort (www.madahotels.com  )

Day 17: JINJA – KAMPALA

After your breakfast if you didn’t visit the source of the Nile today is yet another day for you may visit the source of the Nile where you can take a boat trip to samuka and the source of the Nile island relax and enjoy the breeze of the Nile enjoy your lunch a and the prolific bird life that your guide can help you identify. Before transferring back to Kampala or you transfer to Kampala with a stopover at mabira forest where you can have a guided nature walk. Overnight at cassia lodge(www.cassialodge.com )FB

Day 18 : ENTEBBE / NGAMBA ISLANDS

You will be picked by your guide from your hotel after breakfast and transfer to the pier to catch a boat to nganba island home of the orphaned chimpanzees. You m ay either do a half day excursion and later do a sunset cruise or spend the entire day with the orphaned chimpanzee’s island. Other than the chimpanzees there are lots of birds watch the local fisher men as they cast their nets for luck, you can relax at the beach or play a few beach games. You may also try out your hands at fishing on the lake upon payment of a supplement. Later in the evening transfer back to Entebbe where your guide will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. Day 19:  DEPARTURE

After a good and relaxing night it is time to finally get back home. Depending on your flight time you may have a city tour or visit the crafts villages where you can buy a few souvenirs for your friends and love ones.
